News

for readers who read both of my blogs- the following is a cut and paste :) ~bonnie

Good News, Great News, not so good news, & Bad news:

first the good news: Paul Thomas slept 7 straight HOURS Friday night! I went to bed the same time as the babies around 9:30pm after they were in their beds.... and Paul Thomas didn't not cry out until 4:30am!!! WHOOO HOOOO!

now, some not so good news: That same night, Nora was up twice :( with coughing and fever. I don't think she even knew I was by the bed trying my best to get her to take some Tylenol and although I didn't get the thermometer to know for sure the number, her head was extremely HOT - thankfully by morning it was gone.

and are you ready for the GREAT NEWS!!!??? Paul Thomas slept ALL NIGHT Saturday night and last night too!!! Could we be moving on to a new stage in life? I sure hope so!!! :P

and now the Bad news.... I sadly regret to tell you, last Thursday while David was playing in the floor with the kids after arriving home from work... he rolled over and SMASHED our digital camera and BROKE it! :( It was in his pant pocket with some keys - I know, I know...

Thankfully, it does still take photos but I have no idea what the photos look like until I upload them to the computer. Reminds me of the old fashioned way of taking photos - looking thru the viewfinder... *sigh*

Looks like we will be shopping for Camera number FIVE soon - as we can NOT live without taking photos! I hope to purchase one before our trip home to Kentucky so I can read all about how to use it before then.

So my question for the day is: Do you have a digital camera? If so what kind? What do you like/dislike about it??? We've only owned Cannon's in the past, but I'm open to other brands. Leave me a comment and tell me ;)

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

  1. I've got a canon point and shoot. Love it.

BTW, my son didn't sleep through the night until he was 13 months old - after that he was fine. I nearly lost my mind before that. The girls slept through at 4 weeks and 6 weeks. And I mean slept through the night with only rare periods of time that they'd be fitful. Ah, those were the days...

  2. My camera is a Kodak Easy Share p880. I don't use the "easy share" software though - just picasa. I would suggest a camera with manual zoom. I have had two cameras break because the zoom gears would grind and wear out and then the camera doesn't even work, because the same gears open the camera for use.

  3. The camera that I LOVE is my Canon Power Shot A640. Son #4 and dil #1 both have one and love them as well. It is sturdy, easy to use, and takes great pics in just about every possible situation.

Hope you find one that you like...soon.

  4. I'm a Sony girl. I've had 3 or 4 of them. Started with a 2.1 MP and have moved up. I currently have two. One is a bigger one and I honestly wish I wouldn't have bought it. It's a DSC-H7 and I think the 10 would be the current model. It's big and definitely doesn't fit in a pocket but it has a fantastic 15x zoom. That's what I use for my deer/wildlife pictures. I also have Sony WSC130 that is 8.1 MP and fits in my pocket. I like it so much that Vince and Chad each bought themselves one.

  5. My son is leaving for Europe Weds (tomorrow) and needed a point-and-shoot camera to take along. I researched for him, and he got a Canon Power Shot from Amazon at a very good price. http://tinyurl.com/5js9bc
Good luck! I would hate to be w/out my camera. I have a Panasonic Lumix I love, but it's big.

  6. i'm in the market for a new camera too bonnie. i'm looking at a Canon Powershot S5IS. i know someone who has this camera and loves it. it is on the bigger side, and not a pocket camera. BUT it has a large zoom and megapixel. haven't bought it yet, but i'm on the verge of buying it. if not this one, it will definitely be a canon powershot of some sort. let us know what you decide!!!

  7. Mine is a Panasonic Lumix that I got for Mother's Day last year. It takes great pictures and I don't think it's too big. It fits in my purse.
I had a Kodak before that which I also liked. It was about 6 years old though and by today's standards HUGE.

  9. Yay...I'm sorry...Alright!...Oh No...
Those wonderful hours of sleep. I hope it is a new trend for PT. My little Kaitlyn has been sleeping through the night for about a month now. I just hope she keeps going. I wake up a little sore(quite full if you know what I mean), but I'll take the nights sleep. ;c)
I'm not much help with the camera. My husband has gotten our last couple. I just point and shoot. I don't even know what features are on them. I guess I should find our book or just play with the camera and find out. Oh well, good luck!
