PT's foot update

Just an update on Paul Thomas' ant bites... some of the blisters have started to pop. Sure hope he doesn't start itching and scratching, as that is the painful part of getting bit by fire ants.

Today after I took a few photos - Olivia and him decided to give each other "check-ups" ;) and I didn't mind as long as they left his feet and legs alone! ;)

Love from Texas!

  1. Oh my! I hope he heals soon. Those bites look very painful.

The fire ant thing reminded me when I was young and my little brother came running into the house screaming and crying. He said that fire ants had gotten into his pants. But when my mom looked, it was red but no ants. It turns out he was sitting in his little red wagon and there was gasoline on the bottom of it (I have no idea why). And the gasoline was burning him like fire ants do.

  2. I really hope Paul's bites get better. I know how itchy red ant bites can be, but I've never had that many at once!

  3. Bonnie,

CVS has a couple of things that I use for Aidan. Both are clear, and have a topical analgesic.

They work on poison oak/ivy, sunburns, and insect bites. I keep them in the cabinet.

    Caladryl Clear and Calagel.

Hope Paul Thomas gets better soon!

  7. Hello :-) I am doing a project on fire ants and just came across the photos of your child's bites while doing a search on google. You wouldn't happen to have any more photos, would you? Did he get bit on his hands? I hope everything healed well.
