Some fabric contendors for the mystery...

Can you believe I actually found some nice fabrics in my very own stash when I went upstairs to take a look. That rarely happens b/c I really don't have that much stash that is larger than a FQ. But take a look at what I found....

at first I thought those Christmas fabrics were very cute... the green with candy canes.. but then I found another green fabric that "SPOKE to me" and said - "HEY, I'm the kind of Green THE Bonnie would pick!"

and just under it was this tanish/goldish fabric... humm let's see...

Is there gonna be enough contrast for making the gold and background HST's? yeah, I think so...

and what about units 4 and 5?? Yeah, I think so... ;)

Just not sure about that red.... but for now I'm not gonna worry about it -after all there was no mention of what size to cut the red in part 1... so that is just gonna have to wait until August.

What about you? Have you pulled anything yet for the Christmas Lights Mystery? Would you like to swap scrappy 4 patch Unit 1 blocks with us over on the HGTV board? So far there are 4 signed up to swap units already... and I'm hoping for a few more ;) Check it out here.

Love from Texas!

  1. Hey Bingo Bonnie....I would love to participate in the swap. How do I sign up? I followed your link but did not make it all the way to the message board. Is that what I need to do?

  3. Hi Bonnie, I'll be looking for the magazine tomorrow. I also wanted you to know that you are in my links now, I had you under my follow list. My blog roll in not in alphabetical order it runs by most recent post. It helps me keep up with the new post better. I'm a scrappy quilt lover too. I really don't need a new project but I think I'll try to do this one with you. Wish me luck that our one and only fabric store has the book.

  4. Hi Bonnie,

I am "new" reading your blog - and love it!! You young mothers, having so much to do with a family, are truly an inspiration as far as getting things done.
But reason I am writing is that last evening I came across instructions (either on your blog or thru a link on yours) for a cute little "pouch" - I made two of them lickety split by just jotting down some key directions, but now would like to print them out. Do you know anything about it???

Also, did you ever write a tutorial for the Bonnie Blanket?

    Thanks.
