aak where did the time go?? actually I forgot and then over the weekend I remembered but we weren't at home at the time... then needless to say once we got home I forgot again... oops.

well - wait no more! The winner is.... shoot the pic is too small to see..and I even sprayed over all the email addresses to protect everyone...

aaahhh,.... look what I came downstairs to see this morning.

Yesterday, I mailed off all of the Round 4 mini swap packages so it left for a clean and clear dining room table... well not for long.

I just couldn't wait to get all of my string blocks received so far out and see what they'd look like so far together. Beautiful aren't they?

and oddly I have 33... I know KC sent me more than 4 but how did I get an odd number?

The "B" word... Bargain

still no sewing YET... but does this count as progress??

I bought for CYOC last week when all the cottons were on sale 50% off! My friend Heidi went with me after our kids were in bed and we felt like we stayed out all night long when they were standing at the door when we left at 9:10pm to lock it behind us. LOL ;)

EDITED TO ADD - the cutting lady wasn't too thrilled when I pulled up with my cart at the cutting counter just 10 minutes before closing.. and wanted 1/8 yard of all those floral fabrics... I did save them till last for her and started with the bigger cuts then found a way to have small talk and that way by the time we got to the florals she wasn't so p'Oed.. LOL

and I know "Bargain" is one of those bad words... but how could I pass up a 50% off sale? honestly most of what I purchased was for the CYOC string swap and I didn't have the colors/themes they choose.. so I "HAD" to buy. honest. only the top right photo was bought with no real project in mind...

Oh, and look what I found to bring home with me... a bolt of muslin (wasn't on sale but I used my 50% coupon for) - I didn't know KONA made muslin did you? Reg. $3.99/yard and it feels like BUDDA!

Felt a bolt by KONA that regular price sold for $12.99 and oh-my-goodness-it-was-BETTER-than-BUDDA!!!! Had to quickly put it back on the shelf before I got too carried away. LOL

Today I read a comment that asked why I only liked US Residents.. and I hope that reader will revisit and see this reply. I also posted it under hers in the comment section.. but then thoguth she may or may not click there to read it. So here goes:

Thanks Guilitta, for visiting my blog – I do not like only US Residents –
actually, just last Spring, one of my Fat Quarter Bingo winners was located in
Canada.

Call me lazy, or pressed for time, but the MAIN reason I said US only this time - is b/c where I live we had a major hurricane in Sept 2008. Hurricane IKE destroyed our whole downtown area… including our post office. They do have a temporary trailer they are using in my town but all 600+ PO Box holders have to stand in line for their mail b/c they still have not installed locks on the temporary mail boxes in that trailer. Standing in line there is HORRIBABLE!

And b/c you may be new to my blog – let me also note that I have 3 small children ages 4 and under and dragging them out to go wait in line for a hour or more is not something I want to do… nor is driving 30 minutes (one way) to an out of town post office to have weighed for shipping or additional charges to mail out of country. I do go to the town next door when shipping my mini 9 patch blocks, but that is only once each quarter.

So you see, this is why I choose a prize ($15.00 cash) that I can simply place in a standard size envelope, place one stamp on and walk out to my own mailbox here at home and call it DONE :c) I hope you understand and will revisit my blog again sometime.
