Update on Surgery Date

UPDATE TO ADD: I just received a phone call today from the Dr's office, as of this morning 1/22/09 they have everyhting they need and we are a GO! :D

However, the dates they had given me tenatively just two days ago have now filled up... several doctors use the same surgery room..

so I just got off the phone with her and my choices for dates are:
1st choice Feb 5th Thursday
2nd choice Feb 9th Monday
3rd choice Feb 11th Wednesday

so on the bad side, now I have more time to get nervous.. on the good side that gives me another week to get more done around here before my Dad and stepmom arrive! :P

***so as soon as I know which date I'll let everyone know** ;) Thanks for all of your T's & P's!!

Love from Texas!

  1. I wish you the best of luck with this. I am having similar problems now myself...and one of the more annoying things is the chafing of the skin I get near the bottom of the bra bands. I am going to talk to my gyn about it when I see her in a week. I know the insurance companies aren't very easy on this kind of thing, but it is a real problem for gals who have it.

  2. Good luck with the surgery. I know it can be quite scarey but as you probably know this and so excited...that it will be worth it when it is all over. You are lucky to have help on the way. Love the photos below of all the squares....how fun was that?

  3. Dear Bonnie,
I didn't get a chance to add a message to the thread on the board, but wanted you to know that we'll keep you in our prayers for your surgery and a quick recovery.
My daughter's friend had met a great doctor which prompted my friend to schedule her surgery too, both recovered nicely and are extremely happy!
    Best Wishes!

  4. Bonnie, I had a friends sister have this done - you will be a new (but not better!! Your are already the best!!) woman after this is done. I am so glad your insurance company is smart enough to approve this. That is wounderful. And I am very glad to know that you will have great help with the kids - you need to make sure you don't do to much for awhile. this is a great post. And yes, new - PRETTY!!!! - bras are a must for the 'new' you!!! Excellant!!!

  5. You are so brave -- I am totally wishing you the best of recovery. I saw her huge 'appendages' on my Mom and wish that surgery had been around earlier.

  7. I cross my fingers for you. It is good for you to get it done now. I have heard of many women who have back problems because of having too much at the front. I bet you will feel taller when it is over!
    Take care.
